Emu Eggshell Grade B

Emu Eggshells are ideal for many types of egg arts & crafts such as: etching, carving, painting, Fabergé decorating, pysanky, etc.

Grade B - Whole eggshells with imperfections such as chips or scratches in the outside layer, irregularly shaped, irregular shaped hole or misplaced hole, irregular color or texture, etc. Perfect for decorating, painting, or decoupage. These eggshells are not cracked or broken. Since these are real eggshells there may be natural color and texture variations.

Emu eggs have three layers: the inner most layer is white; the middle layer is teal green; and the outer layer is a darker green textured coating. These distinctively colored layers allow artists to etch or carve into them giving their artwork a three dimensional look even without painting.

All of our eggshells are blown, cleaned, sanitized, and ready for display or further decorating. No polish is used on the exterior. Each egg is individually wrapped to protect it during shipping.

Emu Eggshells are naturally a green color with a slightly textured outer layer. However, colors may vary from light green to very dark green and some will be more heavily textured than others.

Sizes will vary from approximately 5-7 inches tall & 10-14 inch in circumference. The hole will be approximately 1/4- 1/3 of an inch across.
